Our office was pleased to attend the 15th Tall Buildings Conference, held on June 30, 2026, as invited guests. The event brought together professionals and experts to discuss the role of tall buildings in the urban regeneration of Italian cities, with a focus on sustainability, innovation, and contemporary approaches to vertical design.

The conference also recognised outstanding Italian projects, with CityWave receiving First Prize in the Tall Buildings category. As the local architect for the CityWave project, Atelier Verticale was pleased to be part of the event and to share this recognition with the wider project team.

Atelier Verticale at “Architettura tra le Vette” in Cortina

On 18 July 2025, Atelier Verticale founding partner Luigi Fumagalli took part in Architettura tra le Vette, the first event of the “Architettura e Restauro per il Futuro” series, organised by THE PLAN and Confrestauro in Cortina d’Ampezzo.

During the panel, Fumagalli presented the studio’s experience in luxury hospitality, focusing on the redevelopment of Hotel Cristallo, in collaboration with Herzog & de Meuron, and the renovation of Hotel Ancora. The discussion offered an opportunity to share Atelier Verticale’s approach to integrated design, BIM, sustainability and the sensitive transformation of existing buildings within their local context.

Atelier Verticale at the Belvedere of Villa Reale di Monza

Atelier Verticale was invited as the guest studio for the sixth meeting of a cultural programme dedicated to contemporary architecture, organised by the Commission for Culture of the Order of Architects PPC of the Province of Monza and Brianza, in collaboration with La Triennale di Milano and the Chamber of Commerce of Monza and Brianza.

The event took place at the Belvedere of Villa Reale di Monza and offered an opportunity to present Atelier Verticale’s approach to architectural design and construction. The studio shared its experience of working through the collaboration of professionals with different skills, supporting Italian and international practices throughout the various stages of the design and construction process. The discussion highlighted the importance of integrated expertise in developing functional, sustainable and, above all, feasible architectural projects.
